You can bet these straight or play them as a 6 team parlay.
1. SAINT LOUIS +13 (vs VCU)
VCU's leading scorer and rebounder Treveon Graham missed last game with an ankle injury and no one is sure if he will play against St. Louis. I think he will play but I don't think he will be 100%. Graham does so much for VCU that when he is not on the court the team loses its identity as was the case against Duquesne. Check out this quote from VCU's head coach Shaka Smart:
I think VCU will have the same problems against St. Louis with Graham less than 100%. Meanwhile St.Louis is having a rough season after losing all 5 starters from last season. It's unlikely they will ever get back to the level they were at under Majerus (not a big gay guy)
However I kinda like talent on this St. Louis squad and I think they have the capability to improve more from game to game than most other teams considering they are using 5 new starters. They are coming off a bad loss at Dayton so I expect a big effort from them. This will be the third road game in a row for VCU so it could be a potential flat spot for them. It should also be a tough atmosphere to play in with a top 25 team coming into St.Louis on a Friday night on national TV. Finally I think we get some value going against VCU and their 10 game winning streak, especially considering the last 2 wins haven't been super impressive.
2. DETROIT +6 (at Cleveland State)
Cleveland State is 5-1 since January 1st but I dug a little deeper and I'm not that impressed. I think they will struggle with Detroit's pace and unlike their last game against Youngstown State if they aren't playing well they won't be able to make up for it by imposing their will on the glass.
3. GREEN BAY -5.5 (vs Valparaiso)
This is a bad spot for Vaparaiso. It will be their third road game in 6 days and it comes against a quality defensive team. Look for a sluggish performance from the Crusaders.
4. MARIST +8.5 (at Sienna)
Marist is a solid value play. They are 1-17 on the season but 3 of their top 4 scorers have missed a significant amount of games and now they are finally healthy. They are coming off a one point loss so they are likely playing with more confidence than they have in a long time.
5. NIAGRA +10.5 (at Monmouth)
This is a bad spot for Monmouth with it being their third game in 5 days. They also played a road game on Wednesday. Meanwhile Niagra has been off since been off since Sunday. Niagra will have revenge on their minds after losing by 16 to Monmouth earlier this month. That loss wasn't quite as bad as the score would have you believe though when you take into consideration Niagra was 2-19 from three.
6. MANHATTAN +3 (at Quinnipiac)
This is Quinnipiac's third game in 5 days and Manhattan plays relatively fast which makes it a bad spot for Quinnipiac. Meanwhile Manhattan hasn't played since Sunday.
