There is no sport more matchup-based for me than college basketball and I absolutely love it. Like many cappers/bettors, I started my betting career as a matchup capper in all sports, only to realize how little player matchups mean in some sports. For instance, I am all about situations in the NBA regular season with a very small percentage of a play based on any particular matchups. But in college baskets, especially in non-conference action and sometimes the first time through a conference schedule, I am looking to see who has heavy on-court advantages.
So, bottom line, know your teams - starting-five's and significant bench players. Look for teams who are without their point-guard from the previous season because in the early non-conference contests, you'll find big assist-turnover dichotomies.
And although it doesn't happen as often as we'd like, look for head-to-head meetings between teams with four or five returning starts (including their PG in the case of four) against teams that have lost at least three starters, including the loss of their starting PG.
We have enjoyed November CBB since the first time I started betting games on a regular basis more than 20 years ago. We finished 14-8 last November in CBB and we enter the new season on a 44-21, 68% winning run in November college baskets.
If you have any questions - please address here and I will be glad to answer.
14-8 November last season; 44-21 last 65 November CBB plays. And we cashed 59% of our CBB plays for the ENTIRE season last year, (122 plays released)!
