Lost our free total in the Royals game in spite of being way ahead of the market. It happens. We hit the Orioles, split, and move on.

Analysis: Only three teams have hit more HR's over the last week than the Phillies, who have won five straight and scored four or more in four straight. Point is that their confidence is high right now. If the Nationals bullpen didn't have an ERA of 6.00 in their last 7 games, I'd think twice about this. Strasburg just threw two games with a pitch count over 100, and that's the first time this season that's happened, and he's given up at least one jack in five straight starts. Bottom line here is that the Phillies get their three runs we need for at least a split. Hamels has given up seven jacks this season, six of them at home. Zimmerman and Laroche have seven jacks against Hamels between them, and several other Washington regulars have done quite well against Hamels. Since there are two games before the AS break, Washington is for sure going to have everyone available and take no chances, since they get three to five days off, and especially after last night's embarrassment. 65% of the Nationals games against LHS have gone over the number. It's warm with a slight helping breeze out to CF. Andy Fletcher isn't the most favorable umpire, but he's not the worst, and we can't have everything. We've got enough to bet that there's a more than reasonable chance this goes over 7 is all.
