Detroit Tigers -146 WIN
Kansas City pitcher James Shields is a very good pitcher, but he went just 1-2 against the Tigers last season. Detroit hit .309 against him as he had an ERA of 4.96 against the Motown crew. Detroit's got a different lineup with more speed now, and I think this year's Tigers can be very good offensively. Justin Verlander is the horse for the Tigers and loves getting the ball on opening day. More speed, better defense for this Tigers team. Verlander making his seventh straight opening day start. He's healthy this year. Expect him to fan a bunch of Royals today. Miguel Cabrera has lost weight, he looks great. Tigers are going to get a victory here today.
Washington Nats -164 WIN
This one is a bit pricey and not something I like to lay, but the Mets are horrendous. Stephen Strasburg has to still be pissed about how last season ended and I think he comes out today and mows guys down. Current Mets hit .220 against Strasburg in 50 plate appearances. Love the lineup today for Washington against Dillon Gee.
Texas Rangers -106 LOSS
I believe in Tyler Scheppers. I don't believe in the Phillies. Cliff Lee is a man and can spin a great game, but the Rangers are better than they were last season. That ball park is a pinball machine and I see the Rangers belting the ball all over the yard. This is a decent number for such a good hitting team, even if they are going up against a great pitcher in Lee. But I can't ignore this price with such a great squad.
Maybe more later.
