Joe - If you admitted right off the bat, after Rebus pointed out your mistake, that you didn't know what odds-on meant, you would have at least saved some credibility and perhaps even gained some by coming clean.
It might have been a little difficult, but it wouldn't have been a huge deal. Hey, We all make mistakes (I saw Rebus say this on another thread, too)
Rather, you chose to ignore the fact and make lame excuses like not being a "blogger" of "forum" guy. What kind of an explanation is that?
I don't know what you felt you had to gain by not being honest in your first thread here if you desire to be taken seriously. It certainly doesn't seem like a respectful way to introduce yourself to the forum.
