It's probably wrong to say never when handicapping a baseball side.
But for the time being I'm not looking to play on two teams - the Athletics and Marlins.
The A's have the second-worst record in the majors. They are the biggest money-burners of any team this season.
As for the Marlins, I don't trust the manager. Dan Jennings is an executive with zero on-field experience. It was a joke to name him manager.
I don't weigh managing at all in my baseball handicapping. But for the Marlins, I'll make an exception. The Marlins are 2-9 in their last 11 games. Jennings could be the most clueless manager in the game because he's not a manager! I don't want that disadvantage - because it's not factored in the line - as a given going into the game.
Are there any teams you absolutely avoid right now?
On the handicapping front, I am 2-0 on my premium plays the last two days and have an early game today that is discounted. It can be found here: /pregamepros/pro-bettor/bettor.aspx?id=7746#capper.
As always, let's have no bad luck!
