Marc Lawrence 4 stars play this week Oregon:
Speaking of Ducks, while a loss at Stanford in all likelihood ended Oregon’s 2013 National Championship title hopes, it was the stunning 42-16 defeat two weeks later in Tucson that sent the webbed ones quacking. Don’t expect a repeat performance tonight in Eugene. For starters, since 2008 the Americans have as many Ryder Cup wins as Arizona has SU wins (1-5) in this series over that same span. To boot, Rich Rod is 0-8 ATS in his last eight against undefeated opposition while his kittens have only one SU dog win under his command. The Pussycats are also a Josie-like 1-8 ATS away off back-to-back home games, 1-4 ATS on the road with rest and 2-9 ATS as road dogs after scoring 35 or more points. That’s a far cry from a Ducks’ squad that flocks to these numbers: 5-0 ATS after wading with Washington State, 6-2 ATS at home with rest and 26-6 ATS in SU wins as a favorite with conference revenge, including 4-0 ATS when undefeated. Hence, you can see why we’re not ‘Wild’ about raising an Arizona bunch that must also buck The Clincher: Arizona is 4-30-1 ATS in games they lose SU as a dog versus an opponent with revenge, including 1-19-1 ATS off a SU win when facing a conference foe.
