973 NY Yankees at Kansas City
If you've been following our daily analysis you know by now that we have serious concerns with James Shields. With Kansas City floundering around the .500 mark he is a prime trade candidate. That may be partially the reason for his recent decline. Then again, it may be that he's trying to pitch through injury in order to be traded to a contender. Either way Shields is not the same pitcher lately that he had been in the past.
Kuroda never seems to get the accolades he deserves. He's been about as consistent a starter the Yankees have had through the years and he just doesn't get the respect in the betting markets. While bigger names always seem to be overrated in New York, Kuroda always seems to have value.
With Shields having problems right now there is no reason to play KC in the favorite role. We will side with New York as a nice dog on Sunday.
PLAY NEW YORK
We've included our Top 3 Best Bets in an all-incompasing package for Sunday. All three teams are favorites and one is actually a sizable favorite by our standards. Normally we play small favorites and dogs but we have found a team priced over -130 that we feel has great value. Join us on Sunday for our MLB Triple Play for our Top 3 Selections on Sunday.

Money management, line shopping and reading the betting markets are just as important as picking the right side.
Big props for going out on a limb, Bryan. For me this game 'capped to as close to a PK as they get, so clearly the "value" is in the dog. Although I do agree with your sentiments, the Yanks' bullpen will keep me off of this 9 inning job. Again, I think the Bombers lead after 5, but after about the 7th....all bets are off. GL....Go Yanks!
Thanks for your thoughts Bruno. I highly admire your work.

Kuroda has given one Homerun up to KC team, compared to 7 by Shields to Yankees....
