Two relatively obscure names popped up today as I scanned the day in sports history but both bear mentioning here in my view. It was on this date back in 2003 that Bill Muellar of the Red Sox became the first player in MLB history to to connect for TWO grand slams hit from both sides of the plate! He ended up hitting three dingers on the day and drove in nine runs. Some days it just all comes together. Hell, Stan Musial of the Cardinals slammed five homers in one day during a double dip once. It was also on this date in 2003 that Marcus Giles of the Braves tied a big league record when he went five for five to give him hits in nine straight at bats. That is being in the zone guys.
Okay, a free winner. I am suggesting a small wager on #920 the Astros as they play game 2 of their showdown series with the Angels. Frankly guys there are trends supporting both causes in this one today and this is a gut feeling play. It is my view that Houston is very much for real and that this race will go down to the final weekend. The Angels have had a tough time of it down in Houston losing six of their last seven on enemy turf. I'll take McCullers over Richards here. It is good to see Houston getting up off the deck after so many down years, kind of similar to the Royals. I think it is good for the game when this occurs. Anyway, no it is no Triple Star but I do think the Astros are worth a hard look fellas.
On the business side we cashed another big Triple Star release last night on these very Astros as they thumped the Angels in the opener. At the present moment I do not have a featured release going in the bases today. As my regular clients know I do not force action or featured releases. If it is not there I wait until it is. Plain and simple. I do have a college football Triple already up and loaded. Over the past two seasons in college & Pro ball the Triple Star Record stands at 59-26, 69% winners. And speaking of football if you have not already taken a real hard look at the offer Pregame is making available I urge you to do so. Many, many people have taken advantage already and the clock is ticking. Guys, we all, or most of us know the drill from years of experience. Football is just around the corner and every site is in overdrive trying to bring on new subscribers. Some will try and dazzle folks with amazing stories of past success. Only catch is most of it is pure BS. I am proud to have repeat customers. That is where the rubber meets the road. If I guy lays down his hard earned money and you have earned his trust enough he is willing to step up and do so again that speaks volumes. Anyway, the offer still stands but like I mentioned, the clock is ticking. Prices will never be this low again.
Okay, that is it for now. I will have a write up concerning the Green Bay Packers forthcoming in the thread Jessica started. Right now with all that is going on there simply does not seem to be enough hours in the day guys. Thanks as always and best of luck to us. Enjoy the games.
