The Offshore Report: Stanford on a $447,351 Run!

Stanford continues to be a thorn in the side of bookmakers dating back to last season. Stanford hasn't lost for bettors in over a calendar year going 13-0-1 against the spread. If you had bet $100 on the first game of the streak, then let the winnings ride on each game, you’d have won $447,351 (and counting). Outside of a few key games, the offshore sportsbooks cleaned up this weekend finally winning the majority of games they needed to come in.

“The Stanford game was brutal. We thought we had it locked-up when it went to OT. It would have been our biggest winner by far of the day and biggest winner of the weekend besides the two aforementioned NFL games (Steelers & Rams). Instead it was our biggest loser of weekend including NFL games.”
-Dave Mason (Bet Online)

Best CFB game: Georgia Tech upsetting Clemson and Ohio State upsetting Wisconsin were monster winners for the books.

Worst CFB game: Stanford by far. Once again the Cardinals kill the bookies.

Best NFL: Steelers beating the Patriots. Rams beating Saints. Saints game were monster as they were the most popular teaser play of the entire weekend.

Worst NFL: Detroit Lions thrashing Broncos by far. Last week the public killed the sportsbooks backing Tebow and killed the books this week fading him.

Early Action NFL: Falcons-Colts is getting the most action by far; some books reporting twice as much as any other game. BetOnline reported their players are pounding the Falcons (-7) at a 95% clip.

Early Action CFB: Alabama-LSU, Alabama-LSU and Alabama-LSU.

"Bama action is off the charts. Of course we opened the spread last Sunday and Total on Thursday. Early action on LSU and the Under. On pace to take more action on this game than last year’s BCS Championship game."
