Saturday College Football LSU Tigers and Texas A&M Aggies: Start Time, Odds

SEC West rivals LSU and Texas A&M will jockey for divisional positioning when they square off at legendary Kyle Field this afternoon. Start time in today’s game between the Tigers and Aggies is set at 12:00pm; it will be broadcast live on ESPN. Saturday college football odds like No. 6 LSU at -3.5 against the spread in this contest. The game total is set at 53 points.

LSU fell victim to Florida a couple weeks ago, ending a 17 game regular season win streak, but it did not waste time getting back to its winning ways. The Tigers battled a previously unbeaten and incredibly tough South Carolina team last weekend and prevailed 23-21 in front of a capacity crowd at Tigers Stadium in Baton Rouge.

The assignment for Les Miles’ squad today is much different, but possibly more difficult as they face a better than expected Texas A&M team in College Station.

The Aggies were a bit of an unknown commodity coming into the season after changing head coaches and losing quarterback Ryan Tannehill, but it turns out they may be a better team. Since opening the year with a hard fought 20-17 loss to Florida, Texas A&M has reeled off five straight wins, including two against SEC foes (Arkansas 52-0 and Ole Miss 30-27).

Today will, unquestionably, mark the Aggies most difficult challenge since their showdown with the Gators, though, as LSU possesses all the necessary defensive tools to slow down their prolific offense (47 points, 544 yards per game).

It is no coincidence that Texas A&M’s two lowest scoring games came against Florida and Mississippi, and it would be a surprise if it rolled up 30 or more points on the Tigers. That said, LSU’s offense will probably find the going slow today as well. The Tigers are not exactly a more eastern version of the Oregon Ducks in terms of offense and A&M, with the exception of last week’s shoot out with Louisiana Tech, has done a decent job of keeping its opposition in check.

LSU Tigers and Texas A&M Aggies College Football Odds:

LSU Tigers -3.5 (-110), Over 53 (-110)

Texas A&M Aggies +3.5 (-110), Under 53 (-110)
