The Missouri Tiger’s quest for their first conference victory continues tomorrow in Columbia as they host the scuffling Kentucky Wildcats at Faurot Field. Start time in Saturday’s SEC clash between division rivals Missouri and Kentucky is scheduled for 12:00pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on ESPNU. Missouri’s inaugural foray into the SEC has been anything but successful thus far with the team presently sitting 3-4 overall and 0-4 in conference play. The Tigers’ best opportunity to get off the proverbial schnide comes tomorrow, though, in the form of the woeful Wildcats.

Kentucky, which is 0-5 in conference play, has just one win to its credit and that came nearly two months ago when it beat Kent State 47-14 in Lexington.

While the Wildcats are fighting for worst SEC team label, they, no doubt, consider a showdown with Missouri a reprieve. Kentucky has faced No. 2 Florida, No. 13 South Carolina, No. 11 Mississippi State, Arkansas, and No. 10 Georgia over the last five weeks.

The Wildcats were shellacked by most of those teams, but they did put up a fight last Saturday against a disinterested Dawgs squad. Georgia ultimately prevailed 29-24 but it needed a second half rally to do so.

Kentucky’s game effort last weekend should not rattle the Tigers, though. The Wildcats are a toothless road team, having been outscored 119-21 en route to an 0-3 away record, and they will look especially tame compared to the Crimson Tide team that rolled Mizzou 42-10 its last time out.

Free Pick: Take Missouri -14. The Tigers are 5-0 straight up and 4-1 against the spread as a home favorite with a game total between 47.5 and 51 points under Head Coach Gary Pinkel.
