The St. Louis Blues have a chance to take a major step against the Los Angeles Kings tonight in Game 4 of their NHL Playoff series. The game is scheduled for a 10:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the NBC Sports Network. The Kings are favored to win the game, according to the odds.

St. Louis holds a 2-1 lead in this series, winning both games at home last week. But in Saturday's game the Kings were able to score a 1-0 decision in Game 3 to hold serve. Yet a win in tonight's game by the Blues would certainly put the Kings in a bad position down 3-1 and having to win out in the series.

Both of the opening games finished with a 2-1 score for St. Louis, so goals have been at a premium in these games so far. In fact the squads have combined for just seven goals, and nobody has led by more than one goal at any point.

And the Blues have been getting phenomenal goal tending all season. In the West, only the Chicago Blackhawks allowed fewer goals than St. Louis during the regular season. Brian Elliott has answered the bell this season and it looking to get the Blues to that next level after several years of being a mediocre team. The Blues have won just one playoff series since the 2002 season.

LA goalie Jonathan Quick has allowed only four goals in the three games and is coming off a shutout last game. Quick has stopped 93 of the Blues' 97 shots.

Kings' Justin Williams leads both teams with 15 shots on goal during the series and scored the team's only goal in Game 1 of this series.

Is it a must win for the Kings? Probably, considering they'd have to win each of the next three games in order to advance. And if we look at their record playing at Staples Center this season, we see that LA was one of the best teams in the league at 19-4-1.

Because they are at home, they need to win and probably feel lucky to be down just 2-1 in this series, we like the Kings to get it done tonight. Look for Quick to continue to play well in between the pipes. St. Louis has gotten more shots on goal in this series but expect an offensive attack from LA tonight that will be efficient.
