NHL Playoff Picks St. Louis Blues at Los Angeles Kings

The Los Angeles Kings will look to close out their series with the St. Louis Blues at home in Game 6 of the NHL Playoffs. Tonight's game is scheduled for a 10:00 p.m. EST start time and it will be televised nationally on the NBC Sports Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Kings favored, showing oddsmakers are believing the Kings will advance based on their NHL Playoff Picks.

The defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings have a chance to advance in the NHL post season tonight with a win against the St. Louis Blues. Dustin Penner's said this series has been the most physical of any playoff series he's been a part of and it has no chance to slow down. The Blues are a beat-you-up type of team and in order to keep their season going they'll have to knock the Kings around some more in tonight's contest. Robyn Regehr has a broken nose and Dustin Brown has a gnarly cut to his face but the Kings aren't just going to get pushed around anymore.

They've battled tough to this point and hold that 3-2 lead. Now at home they've got a chance to kick the Blues to the curb and move on in the post season. But St. Louis isn't going to go without a battle, that's for sure. Barret Jackman has said that his team is looking forward to tonight's game and they have a lot of confidence going. That's kind of hard to believe considering they've lost three straight games overall to Los Angeles.

Jonathan Quick is being a solid guy in the pipes for the Kings.

And it could be series over tonight. The Kings have won nine straight home games since March 23, while the Blues are winless in their last seven trips to Los Angeles. And they've really turned it on in this series as well in the last two games. Los Angeles has scored seven goals in the past two games after managing just three in the first three. Los Angeles has failed to win a series after leading 3-2 just once in seven tries in club history.

Hard not to go with the Kings in this one. They have the momentum, they're playing at home and St. Louis is in a desperation spot. We like the Kings to get it done tonight and march on in the playoffs.
