New England is still looking like the team to beat in the AFC despite the loss of Rob Gronkowski. The Ravens are going to look to use that to their advantage tonight, forcing Tom Brady to have to find another target to feel comfortable with in this one.
The Ravens seem to always play the Patriots tough in these types of games. John Harbaugh’s group is going to fight to the end in every game and they are 7-5 on the season, a game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. Baltimore has struggled a bit in road games, winning just two of their five contests but a win here would certainly help the morale.
Baltimore has the top overall rush defense in the league, which could hinder LeGarrette Blount and the Pats on the ground. New England loves to run the football despite not being the best at it, averaging only 4.0 yards per carry. Blount and the Pats might have to mix in some screen passes in this one to help alleviate some pressure from the Ravens up front.
Baltimore and New England both have excellent kickers. They’re also both plus-5 on the turnover differential this season. Joe Flacco has led the Ravens to four wins in five weeks and their confidence is riding high.
But it’s very tough to beat the Patriots in New England.
