The Indiana Pacers close out a three game road swing this evening at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Start time in tonight’s game between the Pacers and Orlando Magic is set for 7:00pm ET; it will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Midwest. The latest NBA Wednesday Odds have Indiana listed as a -1.5 against the spread favorite and the Over/Under set at 186.5 points.

Indiana opened its current three game road swing with a 97-86 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, but it wasted little time getting back on course. The Pacers routed Charlotte last night 103-76 to improve to 24-15 and increase their lead to 1.5 games over the second place Bulls in the Central standings.

Indiana shot just 41.4 percent in the blowout victory, but they dominated the glass 60 to 31 and held the Bobcats to a 34.7 percent shooting effort.

Tonight’s game would seemingly be another easy win for the Pacers with the Magic in a complete free fall. Orlando (13-24) snapped a 10 game losing streak over the weekend with an unlikely 104-101 road win against the Clippers, but it immediately fell back in the ditch on Monday, closing out a four game road swing with a 120-91 loss to the Wizards.

A day off and a return home may do the Magic well. Seeing the Pacers may help energize the club too. While the two Eastern Conference rivals are playing at opposite ends of the spectrum right now, Orlando has dominated Indiana in recent years. The Magic are 8-1 in their last nine games opposite the Pacers and they are 7-1 in their last eight meetings with Indiana at the Amway Center.

Despite those numbers, it is difficult to jump on board the Magic bandwagon. Orlando has shown an ability to score the ball of late, averaging 104.1 points per game in its last seven outings, but its inability to play defense is hard to ignore. The Magic have given up an average of 107.5 points per game in their last 12 games.
