The Chicago Bulls will attempt to stop the bleeding at two games tonight as they battle the Utah Jazz at the EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City. Start time in this evening’s meeting between the Bulls and Jazz is set for 10:30pm ET on ESPN. Utah is listed as a -3.5 against the spread and -170 moneyline favorite ($170 wins $100) in the latest NBA Friday betting odds. Chicago is a +150 moneyline selection and the game total is set at 185 points.
The Bulls wrap up a six game road swing tonight and it can happen none too soon based upon the team’s recent play. Chicago lost for the third time in four games last night as the Nuggets stormed their way to a 128-96 victory at the Pepsi.
The setback, which dropped the Bulls record to 29-20 overall and 14-8 on the road, saw Denver decimate Chicago’s defense. The Nuggets shot 58.1 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from beyond the arc in the win while Chicago hit just 41.8 percent of its field goal attempts.
The Bulls run into another hot team this evening in Utah as the Jazz have won four of their last five games to improve to 28-22. Utah opened its current three game home set with a 98-91 overtime win over the Kings on Monday and it notched a 100-86 victory against the Bucks on Wednesday night.
The Jazz, who own a 19-5 record at the EnergySolutions Arena, have had their share of troubles with the Bulls the past few seasons. Chicago has won three straight in this East versus West series, and has taken five of its last seven opposite Utah. The Bulls are also 4-0 both straight up and against the spread in their last four games as a road dog with a spread between 0 and 3.5 points.
