Major League Baseball Arizona Diamondbacks at Milwaukee Brewers Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Milwaukee Brewers welcome in the Arizona Diamondbacks in Major League Baseball action later today. The game is is scheduled for a 4:10 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX Sports 1. Currently the odds for the game have the Brewers listed as a decent favorite to pick up the win at home.

Milwaukee has been one of the struggling teams to start the Major League season this year, posting a record of just 16-33. The Brewers have bene awful in home games especially, sitting with one of the league's worst marks at 8-19 in their own building. Craig Counsell has been tabbed as the guy to figure this out and turn it around, but there are a lot of problems going on with that team.

There's plenty of talent, the pitching staff isn't the worst in the league. A team that has the firepower the Brewers have can always get hot and find itself turning things around, but they do rank fourth in the league with 405 strikeouts in those 49 games, an average of better than eight punchouts per game.

Arizona will send Jeremy Hellickson to the mound today, not a big strikeout guy. He's 2-3 with a 5.33 ERA on the season but his numbers are a bit better on the road. Only a handful of Brewers have plate appearances against him, Adam Lind has nine hits in 29 appearances, of course, because he always hits right handers well.

The Brewers are sending veteran Kyle Lohse to the bump. He's 3-5 with a 5.80 ERA this season and the Brew Crew have dropped games in each of his last two starts. And just like Hellickson, his numbers are better on the road than they are in his own park. Lohse has given up 26 earned runs at Miller Park this season in just 32 innings, not good.

Current Diamondbacks are hitting an average of .234 against him, though, in 47 appearances.

Can Lohse stop the Brewers slide? They haven't won since an 11-0 victory over Atlanta a week ago. Since that win Milwaukee has dropped two more to the Braves and was swept by San Francisco before yesterday's defeat to Arizona. The slide will probably continue.

Movie NFL Free Pick: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

According to professional sports bettor Steve Fezzik, the early bird can catch a profitable worm if they put money down on Green Bay's opening week showing against the Chicago Bears. With the line currently at -4.5 at most Vegas sports books, Fezzik predicts it will move to -6.5 come game day, as no one is going to be betting on the Jay Cutler-helmed Bears, so the money will pour in on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. With that being the case, time strike early while the iron is hot.
