The Texas Tech Red Raiders are hosting the Texas Longhorns in Big 12 College Football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX Sports 1. The college football odds for the game have the Longhorns favored to pick up the win on the road.

LOTS of points expected here, but that should come as no surprise as Texas Tech can stop nobody. Both teams enter the game at 4-4 overall and 2-3 in Big 12 play and there is expected to be some weather problems for this one, but we will see how that goes.
Texas Tech is averaging 47.4 points per game offensively with a great passing attack led by Patrick Mahomes III, who throws for better than 500 yards per game. The problem for Texas Tech is the inability to keep opponents from scoring gobs of points as well at 41.4 points per game.
Texas allows almost 33 points per game themselves, so the Red Raiders should be able to move the football against them. Texas’ defense is actually second-best in the country in sacks, but Mahomes and the quick-strike passing attack of the Red Raiders will look to get the football out fast.
Naturally, it makes sense to just take the over in a Texas Tech game, but note they only beat Kansas State last week 27-24.
Texas will look to feed the football to D’Onta Foreman, he posted a huge game against Baylor in the Horns’ upset with 250 yards and two scores. He’s got 10 touchdowns on the season and will look to pound away on the Red Raiders here.
Expect some points here, but Texas’ defense is just a little bit better than what Texas Tech has. That could be the difference here.
