The NC State Wolfpack are hosting the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ABC. Notre Dame’s defense is horrible. The Irish are giving up better than 33 points per game this season, which already factors in yielding just 10 points to Nevada in the second week of the season. Texas, Michigan State, Duke and Syracuse have all scored at least 33 points on the Fighting Irish, who enter this game just 2-3 on the season.

NC State is no team to overlook. The Wolfpack are 3-1, but none of the three victories were against anybody that was any good (William & Mary, Old Dominion and Wake Forest). NC State has a pair of really strong games coming up as well the next few weeks, traveling to Clemson and Louisville, which could hurt their focus for this one.

DeShone Kizer has been very strong offensively for ND, he’s thrown for 14 touchdowns this season and could be in for another big game here. ND certainly has the athletes and the offense to win here, but the defense has been atrocious.

Boise State transfer Ryan Finley has been excellent for NC State with a 9-0 touchdown to turnover differential, he’s completing better than 72 percent of his passes as well and NC State can also run the football if needed.
