The Troy Trojans are taking on the Ohio Bobcats in the Dollar General Bowl tonight. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college football odds for the game have the Trojans favored to pick up the win by a single possession.

Troy had a pretty good season for themselves, nearly getting ranked in the polls and winning nine games overall. This will be the fourth overall bowl game for the Trojans, who last played in the 2010 New Orleans Bowl where they beat Ohio 48-21.
Ohio has been to four bowl games the past six seasons, last year they lost to Appalachian State 31-29 in a close contest. The Bobcats are still led by Frank Solich, a veteran coach that routinely has his teams ready to play. Because of that, Ohio does have a bit of an advantage there heading into this game.
Offensively Troy averages better than 34 points per game and the defense has been strong as well, allowing only 22 points.
Brandon Silvers is the QB for the Trojans, he threw for almost 3,000 yards and 22 touchdowns. Jordan Chunn scored 13 touchdowns on the ground to lead the Trojan rush game, he piled up 1,200 yards as well and is the key go-to guy for Troy on the ground.
Ohio has a couple of different options out of the backfield themselves, they average only 4.4 yards a carry and have 17 combined touchdowns. Greg Windham missed some time at the quarterback position but he is their guy, he’s coming off a three touchdown performance in the team’s last game against Western Michigan.
Overall Troy looks like the better team, they played tough at Clemson this season but have dropped two of the last three to end the year. Coach Neal Brown should have the Trojans ready to go.
