2014 BCS Odds — Alabama Crimson Tide

http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/003/201/358/hi-res-167104321_crop_650x440.jpg?1370562538

College football is right around the corner and oddsmakers in Las Vegas and around the world are gearing up. The 2014 BCS Odds have the Alabama Crimson Tide favored at 3/1 odds to come out on top once again in the college football landscape. With Nick Saban at the helm the Crimson Tide will be looking to survive the SEC and look to continue their prowess as the best team in college football.

Alabama enters the 2013 having been favored in Vegas on 43 consecutive games. They open as 3/1 favorites to win the BCS Title this season and there's a pretty good chance they'll survive their schedule. The Crimson Tide won't play Georgia, Florida or South Carolina in the regular season. Yet, their opening two games of the season will be two of their toughest three games of the regular season. The Tide will take on Virginia Tech in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta and then play Texas A&M on the road in Week 2. The Aggies were able to get Alabama last season, giving the Tide their lone loss of the year.

Saban has had a stranglehold on recruiting nationally, getting many of the greatest players in the country year in and year out to come play on the gridiron in Tuscaloosa. Quarterback and Heisman Trophy hopeful AJ McCarron returns for his senior year and the Crimson Tide return seven starters each on offense and defense for this season. Tailback T.J. Yeldon is certainly the next great back for Alabama and Amari Cooper on the outside is one of the best deep threats in the country.

But how will Alabama work in three new offensive linemen? Last year's team saw three guys graduate on the front line and with new guys up front, there won't be much time for them to get acclimated to the game.

The win total for the Crimson Tide is set at 11.5 by online oddsmaker 5dimes. Alabama is favored in every game this season (others favored in every game: Ohio State, Louisville, Georgia and Oregon). The defense will certainly be the key to this team's success this season and don't forget about special teams as well. Both Cade Foster at kicker and Cody Mandell at punter return for their senior seasons.

The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas has released individual game spread lines for Alabama's games this season.
