2013 Detroit Lions season win total

http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/003/214/988/hi-res-134864365_crop_650x440.jpg?1371366874

This year's NFL Season Win Totals have been released by the Las Vegas Hotel (formerly Hilton). The Detroit Lions have been projected with an over/under of 7.5 wins this season. The NFC North had three teams pick up double digit wins last year but the Lions weren't one of them. The LVH has released season win totals for each of the NFL franchises and the Lions are being projected by the oddsmakers to be fighting for a playoff spot in the NFC.

Detroit had one of the best offenses in the league last season but only managed to win four games. They lost all six games in the NFC North last year and never could get things going. Defensively they've spent a lot of money on guys and they'll obviously have to improve in specific areas, including the secondary. Louis Delmas returns in the secondary and will now play along with Glover Quin. That will certainly need to get the team going in the right direction if they plan to get better this season.

Offensively Reggie Bush joins Matthew Stafford's crew for the Lions, who should score a lot of points again. We all know about Calvin Johnson, who caught better than 1,900 yards last season and 122 passes. Yet, he only hauled in five touchdown passes and Stafford tossed only 20 passes for scores a season ago next to 17 interceptions. Head coach Jim Schwartz will be looking for an impact from Bush out of the backfield, catching passes and playing that under the coverage game.

Two road games against Arizona and Washington early on could determine how the Lions play this season. If they can get off to a solid start it could be beneficial to the Lions. They'll also have back to back road games against Green Bay and Cleveland. After the bye week they'll take on back to back road games as well with Chicago and Pittsburgh.
