The semifinals of the women's draw at Wimbledon is upon us as both matches get underway Thursday. The 2012 Wimbledon Semifinals pits Angelique Kerber and Agnieszka Radwanska, which begins with an 8:00 a.m. EST start time. The match is slated to be the first on Centre Court for the day. The other match, which will get underway after the opening one, will see Serena Williams take on Victoria Azarenka. Currently the odds for the mach have Kerber as a =160 favorite for the match.

Picks: Kerber has shocked much of the tennis world by reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon. What might be even more shocking is that she is considered to be a pretty decent favorite over one of the best grass court players in the world in Agnieszka Radwanska. This is going to be a great match and quite possibly could give the second match of the day a tough one to follow. Radwanska has survived to this point in the tournament and hasn't gotten too upset with herself when she has made some less than impressive moves. The best thing about Radwanska for this match is that she does not beat herself. Typically, tennis players will have some unforced errors, even the best players in the world make mistakes. However, Radwanska is arguably the best ball striker in the game today and she won't beat herself. If Kerber is to win this matchup, she's definitely going to have to earn it.

The -160 odds for Kerber indicate she has just under a 62 percent chance to win the match. That is based solely on the betting line and no specific formula. Radwanska is going to have something to say about that. I'd argue that she's played just as good of competition as Kerber has to this point in the tournament and I think Radwanska has a nice edge as an underdog here. Both players flat out survived in their quarterfinals matchups, each going to three sets. I'd imagine something like that happening again here today, but I think that Radwanska is going to come out on top. I love her ground strokes and she's a very good, fast player on grass. At this point in the tournament, she has the intangibles needed.
