The United States women's basketball team continues its quest for gold on Friday afternoon by taking on the Czech Republic in Group A action. The preliminary round game is scheduled for a 5:15 p.m. EST start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC Sports Network. 2012 Olympics Women's Basketball USA vs. Nigeria Odds and Picks have the Americans as massive favorites at -30.5 points with the total for the game set at 154 points.
The American women have breezed through the competition to this point of the Olympics, beating up on everyone. The American women had 18 assists against Turkey, showing they have began to do the all important "gelling" as a team, which is crucial at the Olympics.
Today's game against the Czech Republic will probably get ugly. The Czech have won only one game so far, beating Croatia 89-70 in their last game. Their previous two games saw them lose to Turkey by four points and China by nine points.
USA has blown everyone out, beating Croatia by 25 points, Angola by 52 and Turkey by 31. It's no surprise they are favored by more than 30 points in this game today and they are going to get there.
