The total is 39 points and Seattle is favored by 16, which is pretty much all you need to know about what is going to happen tonight. The Rams just fired Jeff Fisher on a short week, which is bizarre, especially with only three games remaining in the regular season anyway.
Seattle, on par with its successes in the past, is 6-0 at home this season and owns arguably the best home field advantage in pro sports. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are coming off a tough loss on the road in Green Bay and just a couple weeks back, they mustered only five points in a road loss at Tampa Bay. Wilson and the Seahawks need to play well here at home, running the football against the Rams and moving the rock down the field with big plays.
Los Angeles is probably not going to bring a very solid effort. They played Seattle tough, and won, earlier in the season but have not been anywhere close to as good as they were that week, averaging just 12 points per game the last seven overall.
Rookie QB Jared Goff looks like he still needs some work and in this tough environment it’s only going to get worse for him. Losing Earl Thomas will cause Seattle to have to make some changes, but the Rams pose really no threat here.
