Alabama remains the top-ranked team in the country and they’re looking for another strong win here. The Crimson Tide will be looking to beat up on a Bulldog team that shook up the college football playoff rankings with a knockout of Mississippi State last week.

This will be a little break for Alabama on the schedule. Mississippi State is the first unranked opponent Nick Saban’s team will play since October 1. During that time they clobbered Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas A&M and dominated the game against LSU despite it being low-scoring. This team is ready and poised for a national championship run and won’t be looking ahead in this matchup.

Nick Fitzgerald can make plays with his feet for the Bulldogs and that could give them a chance at covering the number here. Outside of him Mississippi State really doesn’t run the football well. As the quarterback you don’t want him taking shots on every play so it will be interesting to see just how much running he does.

The Bulldogs got that big win last week, but they won’t sneak up on Alabama.
