Oakland has been the surprise team of the NFL season, winning six of the team's first eight games and holding a tie with Denver in the AFC West. The Raiders can score points, averaging almost 27 per game (T-5th), and have a prolific passing attack with Derek Carr to Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree.

Tonight they take on a Denver defense that is very strong and one that doesn't give up a lot of points (17, 5th). Carr has been putting up big numbers all season but the Broncos will be the best defense he has seen to date. 

Denver has won two straight overall, they will look to take advantage of a Raiders team that set an NFL record with 23 penalties last week. Oakland has been known to be undisciplined which makes their 6-2 start surprising. Denver can run the football with Devontae Booker, but that offense might have to throw the football a bit more to beat the Raiders here. 

This is a big game for Oakland, but Denver is the play here.
