The Mississippi State Bulldogs are hosting the Texas A&M Aggies in SEC College Football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the SEC Network. The college football odds for the game have the Aggies favored on the road to pick up the win.

Texas A&M surprisingly came in ranked fourth in the opening College Football Playoff standings. Many are a little upset about this, but now the Aggies have a chance to showcase and live up to their ranking with a road win at Mississippi State. The Bulldogs aren’t nearly as good as they have been in the past, not to mention they were ranked No. 1 just a few months back.
The Bulldogs have fallen far, the first game of the season saw them drop a 21-20 game to South Alabama. Additionally they lost three times in SEC play and also got beat by BYU this season in double overtime.
Yet, despite all of that the next two weeks will determine how their season will end. Being able to find a way to beat Texas A&M would certainly be a season-saver, but then they travel to take on Alabama next weekend. It’s certainly a tough two-week stretch.
Texas A&M’s only loss came at Alabama but outside of that they’ve been pretty good. Trevor Knight has been strong in the passing game and with his feet, the Aggies have great weapons and Trayveon Williams is a problem coming out of the backfield for them.
Mississippi State just isn’t going to be able to match the intensity Texas A&M should bring, but with the season on the line they should be able to find a way to play hard.
