College Football Thursday Ohio Bobcats at Toledo Rockets Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Toledo Rockets are hosting the Ohio Bobcats in MAC?college football action on Thursday night. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the CBS?Sports Network. The college football odds for the game have the?Rockets listed as a massive favorite to pick up the win at home.

College Football Odds
Toledo -17
Total: 58.5 points

Toledo has been a pretty solid program this season. The Rockets are 6-1 on the campaign and are a 2-point loss on the road ay BYU away from being unbeaten at 7-0. Since that game Toledo has ripped off three straight victories in conference play, this game will be the Rockets’ third straight at the Glass Bowl.

Ohio is 5-3 on the season and the three defeats have come at the cost of just 18 points. The Bobcats played Tennessee tough on the road and nearly beat the Vols, trailing by just two points in the fourth quarter. The spread here looks a bit big, Ohio is a team that can keep the football on the ground and utilize the clock. They’ve got several guys that can come out of the backfield that all average at least 4.5 yards per carry.

The Rockets rank 44th nationally against the run and give up just over 146 yards per game on the ground, making this a matchup that will be key for both teams. The Rockets have an excellent quarterback in Logan Woodside, he’s pitched it for 28 touchdowns on the season and has been very accurate with 71.4 perent of his passes being caught in 213 attempts. Woodside’s 28 touchdowns leads the country and he’s thrown only four interceptions as well while only being sacked seven times. The numbers get even better when you see Woodside has averaged 10.7 yards per attempt.

Toledo has a ton of guys that can catch the rock and Kareem Hunt is an excellent option out of the backfield as well, piling up 740 yards on the ground. They can score a ton and score fast, so Ohio will need to find a way to lengthen drives and keep the Rocket offense on the sidelines. Ohio can hang around in this one.
