The Louisville Cardinals are hosting the North Carolina State Wolfpack in college football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ABC. The college football odds for the game have the Cardinals favored by nearly three touchdowns.

Louisville sits at No. 7 in the newest Associated Press poll, they rebounded with a decent win over Duke last week after falling to Clemson. The Cardinals now have to keep the focus up as they are going to be heavily favored for the next four games before having to travel to take on Houston.

Lamar Jackson has been the runaway Heisman leader to this point, he’s been responsible for 30 Louisville touchdowns to date and has been almost unstoppable this season. The Cardinals offense has been great under Jackson this season, ranking first in the country in points scored (52.3) and third overall in rushing yards at better than 305 per game. Louisville also gets some great action coming out of the backfield with both Brandon Radcliff and Jeremy Smith, who average better than eight yards per carry.

North Carolina State has one bad loss on the season at East Carolina earlier in the season, they should have beaten Clemson last week on the road. The Wolfpack were just a 33-yard field goal as time expired away from knocking the Tigers off, ultimately they lost in overtime.

The question is whether or not the Wolfpack can find a way to once again rally the troops and have a good effort here. Last week they were really tested by Deshaun Watson as he threw for 378 yards, but Clemson turned it over four times to keep the Wolfpack in the game.

NC State’s defense is good enough to keep them in the game.
