Indianapolis is just 2-3 on the season, but a win here tonight would certainly help build their confidence moving forward. Andrew Luck has not been great this season, but the Colts are coming off a win over Chicago where Luck had arguably his best game of the season with 332 passing yards and two touchdowns in Indy’s win. Houston has struggled against teams that run the football well this season, ranking toward the bottom of the league in yardage yielded per game at better than 119 yards.
The Colts aren’t a team that runs the football very well and tonight it’s tough to see them really sticking to a run game, especially if they get behind. The Texans have not been an offensive juffernaut this season, Brock Osweiler has thrown more interceptions (7) than touchdowns (6). The Colts are not a great defense, but Houston should be able to move the football with a solid running back in Lamar Miller and a great group of receivers. Osweiler is just going to have to play well in order for Houston to get and hold a lead in this one.
The Texans haven’t scored 27 points in any game this season, so in order to win here it might have to be ugly. Luck has been sacked 20 times this season and the Texans should be able to get to him even without J.J. Watt. The defense for the Texans will play a big role in this one win or lose, but Luck and the Colts might just line up and throw it every down to keep the football.
