The Philadelphia Phillies are hosting the Chicago Cubs tonight in Major League Baseball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Currently the MLB Odds for the game have the Cubs as a heavy favorite to pick up the win on the road.

Philadelphia was expected to be one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball this season. The Phillies are a game below .500 and have been out-scored by 49 runs this season, but to date they have certainly exceeded expectations. 

The Cubs are on the opposite end of the spectrum. Chicago could be MLB's first 40-win team on the season with a victory tonight as they look to improve upon an already impressive 17-8 road record through 25 games. 

Jon Lester (6-3, 2.29 ERA) gets the ball tonight for the Cubs. He's coming off a complete-game victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers, a 2-1 Cubs win where Lester struck out 10. Lester has been pretty strong on the road in four starts this season, posting a 3-1 record with a 2.82 ERA over better than 22 innings of work against the Los Angeles Angels, Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates and San Francisco Giants.

Current Phillies are hitting just .235 against Lester in 85 at bats. 

Philadelphia is throwing Adam Morgan (1-4, 7.07), a young lefty. He has not been good at home this season in four starts, posting an 0-3 record with a 7.84 ERA in games against Cleveland, Cincinnati, Atlanta and Washington. He made a road start against the Cubs last week, lasting only four innings while giving up three home runs (Kris Bryant, David Ross and Jorge Soler) in a 6-2 loss.

Chicago comes in with the best run differential on the year (+141) and they will continue that tonight.
