The Houston Astros are hosting the Kansas City Royals this evening in MLB Tuesday action. The game is scheduled for a 8:10 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on MLB Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Astros favored to pick up the win.

The Houston Astros looked strong in yesterday's win over the reigning world champions, scoring eight runs in the team's win. They've struggled a bit to open the season with a 3-4 record to date, the Royals have been solid with a 4-2 opening record and even in defeat clubbed 11 hits yesterday.

Mike Fiers gets the ball for the Astros. He was average in his first start of the season, giving up five earned runs in five innings of work against the Yankees, including a couple of home runs. 

Kansas City counters with Kris Medlen, one of their back of the rotation guys. This will be his first start of the season as his first start was skipped because of off days last week and how the schedule shook out. Current Astros have just a handful of plate appearances against Medlen in his career.

The same goes for Fiers, though current Royals have 24 plate appearances against him and have collected nine hits, several guys having just a single base knock. Kendrys Morales owns a pair of base hits in his career against Fiers.

This should be an excellent game, but the Astros will get the edge being at home. Carlos Correa has been on fire to open the season, he's hitting .357 with three bombs on the year, but Tyler White has been drilling the ball as well, collecting three home runs as well while hitting .545 through 22 at bats.
