The Ohio State Buckeyes are hosting the Michigan State Spartans tonight in Big Ten College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Spartans favored by a couple of buckets on the road to get the win.

Michigan State is up to its normal self under Tom Izzo, the Spartans are once again peaking at the right time. Despite sitting in fifth place in the Big Ten standings, Izzo's team is ranked inside the Top 10 nationally once again and looking at a potential top two seed in the NCAA Tournament if they continue to win. 

Two of the final four games of the season for each of these schools is against the other, Michigan State has a couple of layups in Penn State and Rutgers sandwiched between. This will be a tough task for Sparty tonight, the Buckeyes have been solid all year at home, going 13-4 as they somehow ended up with 19 home games on the schedule.

Ohio State is a bubble team, a win here over one of the better RPI numbered teams would almost assuredly keep them in the discussion, if not put them in. The Buckeyes' best win came on a neutral floor over Kentucky, outside of that the only other Top 100 win on the season was a home battle with Michigan last week.

This has to be the best chance for Ohio State to win. They aren't going into East Lansing on the final day of the season and knocking off the Spartans, they play Iowa later in the week as well but the Hawkeyes are an extremely tough team to beat as well. 

Both teams have momentum on their side with good play the last few weeks, Ohio State has to play its best game of the season in order to have a chance to win. Luckily they are at home, where they should be able to feed off a crowd willing to give them some life. The Buckeyes might not win, but they are going to keep this one close.
