The UCLA Bruins are hosting the Washington Huskies tonight in college basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 10:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX Sports 1. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Bruins favored to pick up the win at home.
Washington is tied with Oregon atop the Pac 12 standings, but there’s a possibility they both drop games tonight on the road. The Huskies are in for a tough battle in Southern California tonight, though UCLA is two full games behind them in the standings.
The Bruins have struggled this season with eight losses already, but a 9-2 record at home has them favorred in this one. Washington has been fine on the road, but they’ve only played three times in true road games this season, winning two. The non-conference schedule for the Huskies was not kind with four losses, but their first Pac 12 game of the season saw them beat 25th ranked UCLA at the time, 96-93. There were a ton of points scored in that one, but there were two overtime sessions — Washington scored 25 points in those extra sessions.
Andrew Andrews is the best player for Washington, he had 35 points in the first game while connecting on 17-of-19 free throws. The Huskies finished with five guys in double figures in the win despite shooting just 36 percent from the floor.
UCLA got 30 points from Bryce Alford, he made 17-of-18 free throws and took 10 triples, but only made three of them. Thomas Welsh had a double-double with 19 points and 15 boards and will have to have another solid contest in this one tonight.
The Bruins and Huskies have a total of 168.5 points in this one, this should be an excellent game to cap off the college basketball night.
