The Texas A&M Aggies are taking on the Arkansas Razorbacks in SEC College Basketball action tonight. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPNu. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Aggies favored to pick up the road win.
Texas A&M has certainly opened some eyes this season. The Aggies have risen all the way into the Top 5 in both polls, the 17-2 record has just a pair of non-conference losses to Syracuse and Arizona State before the turn of the calendar. Since the last defeat the Aggies have ripped off 10 straight wins, including a recent 92-69 win over Arkansas.
The Hogs are 3-4 in the SEC, Texas A&M checks in with a 7-0 mark with a game and a half lead over LSU. The Aggies have done most of the damage this season at home where they are 12-0, but a 3-1 road record is pretty solid to date.
Texas A&M’s defense could be the difference here, the Aggies are giving up just 63.7 points per game to opponents and they’ve held three straight conference foes below 60 points. Arkansas is not a good defensive team, the Hogs are yielding better than 76 points per game to opponents, even if they are scoring 82 per contest that is way too many points and one of the reasons Arkansas is just 9-10 on the year.
Even so, this line is pretty small. Arkansas could definitely benefit from a signature win and just how good is Texas A&M? Good enough to win 10 straight, they’ll make it 11 tonight.
