The Baylor Bears are on the road tonight in college basketball action, taking on the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPNu. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Bears favored to pick up the victory.

Baylor has been cruising along this season, currently the Bears are only a half-game back of Big 12 leaders Oklahoma and West Virginia. But on the road, Baylor has not been exceptional with a 2-3 overall record, the five games is not a great sample size but note they have won each of the last two away games at Iowa State and Texas Tech.

Oklahoma State has one signature win on the season over Kansas, it’s the only victory in the span of six games though. The Cowboys followed up the monumental win by laying an egg at Kansas State and getting dump-trucked by the Wildcats.

Baylor cannot afford to drop this game in Stillwater. The most recent loss to Oklahoma ended a five-game spurt by the Bears, not they have to find a way to refocus in this one. Baylor is the best team in the country in handing out assists, the 20.8 per contest is the top mark but in the last three games they’ve committed one more turnover (49) than assist (48). Baylor will want to see that change tonight and even though they are a small favorite, these are the types of games conference leaders have to get.

Kansas is a great example of that. The Jayhawks have three conference losses so far this year and all three have come away from home, but the Oklahoma State loss really stings. Losing at West Virginia and Iowa State happen, those teams have great home-court advantages. Oklahoma State should not beat the better teams in the league. Baylor has to execute, rebound and defend.
