Alabama Crimson Tide at Auburn Tigers Start Time, College Football Odds

The Alabama Crimson Tide are on the road to take on the Auburn Tigers in the Iron Bowl. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Crimson Tide favored to pick up the win by a couple of touchdowns in this one.

Alabama and Auburn meet each year in the final regular season game of the season. This year's season will be no different, once again though the Crimson Tide are potentially playing for a chance to play for a national title. Ranked second in the college football rankings, Nick Saban's team will be looking to inflict maximum pain on the rival Tigers, who picked up a miracle win on this play just a few years back.

The Crimson Tide have looked like a very solid team all season. The defense has been stout in allowing just over two touchdowns per game, but that does include two straight games of just six points to Mississippi State and Charleston Southern. Alabama gave up 44 points to Auburn in this game last season, the Tigers also piled up a record 630 yards of total offense, but lost the game.

Here's one of the most impressive things about Alabama this season — the Crimson Tide have played just one (1) team with a losing record this season in Louisiana-Monroe (1-10). The rest of their schedule has a combined win-loss record of 76-34, which equates to an almost 70 percent winning percentage. Alabama has rebounded nicely after falling to Ole Miss earlier this season, ripping off eight straight wins.

Auburn has not had a successful year, going 6-5. Being an SEC school that has a nice following the Tigers are in no danger of missing a bowl game but five conference losses is just not acceptable. Three of those five losses came at home for Gus Malzahn's team, coming to Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Georgia.

The Tigers got a nice feel-good win last week over Idaho, but it's worth noting the Tigers gave up 34 points to a Vandal team that is 3-8. Alabama is going to crush the Tigers' spirit early with Derrick Henry and cruise in this one.
