The Oklahoma Sooners are welcoming in the TCU Horned Frogs in Big 12 College Football action tonight. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ABC. Currently the college football betting odds for the game have the Sooners favored to pick up the victory at home.

Big game in the Big 12 tonight, just like Baylor taking on OK State a bit earlier, this has playoff implications. Oklahoma has proven they are worthy of being in the playoff discussion this season, a TD loss to Texas early in the year is certainly keeping them from being in the official Top 4, but at this point they still control their own destiny.

With no conference title game, the Big 12 set up several key games down the stretch on its schedule. Oklahoma has these Horned Frogs and still a game on the road at Oklahoma State next week, a win here by both schools from the Sooner State will set up a monster game next week in Stillwater.

TCU has fallen on hard times, but they can still snag a huge victory in this one and effectively end most of Oklahoma's joy for the season. Both schools are 9-1 overall with 6-1 Big 12 records, the one loss for Gary Patterson's team came two weeks ago at Stillwater, a blowout loss to the Pokes. Now it gets even worse as both Trevone Boykin and Josh Doctson have been shut down. Redshirt freshman Foster Sawyer will start tonight for the Frogs.

Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield might play himself into the Heisman Trophy discussion with another big game. He's thrown 31 TDs to this point and really led the Sooners on a great season. Samaje Perine is running the football well again (thanks, Bob Stoops!) and Oklahoma's offense looks unstoppable. TCU, a once proud defensive-oriented team, doesn't really play defense anymore — at least not the way they used to.

This is Oklahoma's time. The Sooners are playing in the biggest game of the year and with TCU starting a youngster, the Sooners get it done.
