The Syracuse Orange are on the road in college football action on Saturday, taking on the Florida State Seminoles. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ABC. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Seminoles favored to pick up the victory at home.

Somehow Florida State has to find a way to pick itself up after last week’s shocking loss at Georgia Tech. The kicking game has definitely been a strength under Jimbo Fisher but that certainly did not go their way.

The Noles fell to No. 17 in the polls with the defeat; they also have Clemson up next game so the focus will be critical in this contest.

Syracuse is 3-4 with all four losses coming after a 3-0 start. They played LSU and Pittsburgh tough at home, but dropped bad road games to South Florida and Virginia in between those games. The road has not been kind to the Orange, this next stretch of games against FSU, Louisville, Clemson and NC State are going to be a bit daunting as well.

The Orange have given up at least 44 points in each of their games away from home, it’s hard to believe they’ve already played five home games on the docket so far.

Florida State has won seven of the last eight meetings, the last four coming by at least three touchdowns. Dalvin Cook won't play in this game because of an ankle injury, which puts a bigger emphasis on the Seminoles being able to get the ball out of Everett Golson's hands quickly to guys that can make plays down the field. Florida State is just too talented for Syracuse, especially at home.
