The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins take to the field in Sunday NFL Football from across the pond. The game is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have the Jets favored to pick up the victory.
The Jets and Dolphins live from London at 9:30 in the morning is a great start to an NFL Sunday for those living in the States. It really won't matter what teams are facing off across the pond, the start time alone will be getting football fans interested. This is a big game for both teams as well. The Dolphins are looking at a 1-3 start if they can't find a way to get the job done, a loss would certainly put head coach Joe Philbin on the hot seat even more. The Jets are 2-1 and a win here over the Dolphins would keep them on pace with the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East, but still behind the Patriots.
And to hammer the point home even more, a loss here by Miami puts them at 1-3 and at the bottom, staring up at everybody else in the division. Because of that, expect the Dolphins to find a way to play well in this game. Neither team will have a "home field" advantage, but Miami is listed as the home team.
New York will look to continue to be great in the turnover department. The Jets have 11 takeaways on the year and are plus-5 in the turnover battle on the season, which ranks tied with the Bills for second in the league. Only Denver has a better overall differential at plus-6. Miami is tied for 19th at -2 on the year.
Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins offense cannot turn it over if they are going to have a chance to win. Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Jets are going to control the ball, run the ball and work on being efficient. Tannehill has better weapons around him compared to Fitzpatrick and is probably a better overall talent, but the Jets have the better defense and should have Chris Ivory back as well.
It's tough to trust the Dolphins at this point.
