The Maryland Terrapins and Wisconsin Badgers hit the court tonight in Big Ten College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the College Basketball Betting Odds for the game have the Badgers favored by a couple of buckets on the road.

Wisconsin owns a commanding lead in the Big Ten standings, holding a full three-game lead over Maryland, Michigan State and Purdue. Tonight's matchup between the Badgers and Terps pits the only two ranked teams in the conference and seeing Wisconsin as such a solid favorite certainly is interesting. Wisconsin has picked up 10 consecutive victories and they'll be favored in each of their last four games, this one included. And with a victory in this game tonight, Bo Ryan and the Badgers would seal up at least a share of the Big Ten regular season title.

Maryland is looking to stop that from happening, but it won't be easy. The Terps have been amazing in home games this season, posting a 16-1 record with the only loss come to Virginia. Wisconsin has been very impressive in road games as well, collecting eight wins in nine games away from home. This should be an excellent game.

Ryan's team is looking to clinch the third regular season title under his coaching tenure. Despite being in the discussion every single year, a victory tonight would give them at least a share of the title for the first time since the 2007-08 season. Seems like way too long, but Wisconsin has always been in the mix, but has ended up as the bridesmaid enough times. The Badgers have the national player of the year candidate in Frank Kaminsky, who looks like he'll easily claim the B1G honor for the conference's best player.

The Terps have one of the best freshman in the world in Melo Trimble, a 16-point a game player. Dez Wells and Jake Layman both average in double figures as well for the Terps. Wisconsin is a pretty solid defensive team, ranking fifth in the country in allowing just over 55 points per game. If the Badgers can lock down Trimble in transition and don't allow Maryland to get out and run, the Badgers cover the six points.
