The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings meet up in the final game for both this NFL Football season on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. Currently the odds for the game have the Vikings favored by almost a touchdown at home.
Minnesota has been playing much better than Chicago this time of year, which makes for the spread being as high as it is. The Vikings are just 4-4 in their last eight games overall, but could have won all eight of those games. Losses to these same old Bears, Green Bay, Detroit and Miami came by a combined 15 points. Closing the season out with a win over the hated Bears would certainly be a high point for the year, giving them seven wins.
Teddy Bridgewater has been very good as a rookie quarterback and it’s shown on the field. Bridgewater has thrown for better than 2,700 yards and is consistently putting the Vikings in a position to succeed.
Chicago has been a dumpster fire, on the other hand. The Bears are losers of four straight and seven of their last nine overall. Jay Cutler is apparently on the outs in Chicago, leading the league in turnovers. For whatever reason the Bears just haven’t seem to figured out that Matt Forte is one of the best backs in the league, loving to line up and throw the football as much as possible. Forte hasn’t reached the 1,000 yards plateau yet this season and has only six touchdowns for the campaign. Chicago is just 26th in the league at 89.5 yards per game on the ground, which could have a major impact on the poor season. Obviously the defense isn’t very good either.
Minnesota is on the rise while Chicago is on the decline. This could be a huge game for the Vikings moving forward in the off season and we expect them to win.
