The Seattle Seahawks take on the Arizona Cardinals tonight on Sunday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC. Currently the odds for the game have the Seahawks favored by better than a touchdown in this one.
Arizona still leads the NFC West and sits ahead of everyone in the conference as the top overall seed. Seattle, though, is playing red hot football by winning four straight games overall.
The Cardinals are on yet another quarterback as Ryan Lindley will make the start because of an injured Drew Stanton. Bruce Arians and the Cardinals have found a way to just keep it going this season despite the struggles at QB, though, and tonight they'll look to beat the Seahawks for the first time this season.
These teams met a few weeks ago with Seattle dominating the game to a 19-3 win. That contest didn't see either team reach 300 yards of total offense and we could see much of the same in this one tonight. The Seahawks aren't a team that scores a lot of points, but they do keep their opponents off the scoreboard as well.
Russell Wilson leads a Seattle offense that is tops in the league in rushing this season at 169 yards per contest. Arizona's strength on defense has been their ability to stop the run and they held Seattle to just 124 on the ground the first meeting. Wilson led the way with 73 yards on the ground while Marshawn Lynch did not have a good game. The Seahawks, though, will look to get Beastmode going early and often in this one tonight.
Seattle's defense is going to cause too many problems for Arizona. They've certainly done a nice job this season of continuing to be successful without Carson Palmer under center, but tonight they luck runs out.
