The Oregon Ducks welcome in the Colorado Buffaloes in college football action later today. The game is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start time and currently the College Football Betting Odds for the game have Oregon listed as a massive favorite to get the win.
Oregon currently sits inside the college football playoff top four, which is good for the one-loss Ducks. Oregon's only loss on the season came at home back in October on a Thursday night to Arizona. They've bounced back, though, to peel off five straight wins. A victory today for Oregon would be their 10th of the season and the Ducks should be able to take care of business next week against Oregon State as well.
But who will Oregon play in the Pac 12 title game? The South Division is really a mess as five teams all have a chance to clinch a spot in that game. Odds are Oregon wouldn't mind playing any of the five teams, especially if they have a chance to cement themselves inside the playoff top four. Expect that to happen in this contest today as well against a Colorado team that has only two wins on the season and hasn't tasted victory since a 21-12 win over Hawai'i way back on Sept. 20 this season. The Buffs have been able to score some points but overall they've had major problems getting anything positive going their way.
Opponents average 39 points per game against Colorado this season. Oregon comes into the game tonight scoring 46 points per game this season, which ranks third best in the country. Marcus Mariota should be the leader in the clubhouse for the Heisman, combining for better than 3,300 yards of total offense with 37 touchdowns to date. Obviously both of those numbers will continue to rise from this game as the Buffaloes just won't be able to slow them down.
Oregon piles up better than 525 yards of offense per game. The Buffaloes can score points themselves, but Oregon is laying nearly five touchdowns in this game for a reason. The Ducks should roll.
