College Football Indiana Hoosiers at Michigan Wolverines Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Indiana vs. Michigan: Live Game Grades and Analysis for the Wolverines

The Michigan Wolverines look to get a win in college football action on Saturday when they host the Indiana Hoosiers. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the Big Ten Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Wolverines favored by a touchdown to get the win.

Michigan favored by a touchdown in this matchup is the smallest they've been favored over Indiana since 1988. Michigan has picked up wins in 32 of the last 33 games in this series and hasn't lost to Indiana in 18 straight games. Indiana also hasn't won at Michigan since the 1967 season.

Michigan has obviously had their problems offensively this season, scoring just 20.4 points per game this season, which ranks 113th in the country. That's absolutely awful at a place like Michigan, that has such rich history and pride. The Wolverines haven't been able to throw the football effectively all season as Devin Gardner has made bad decisions and doesn't get the best blocking anyway.

Both Michigan and Indiana come in with just three wins to the season. The Hoosiers will be starting a true freshman at quarterback in Zander Diamont, as their first two quarterbacks have gone down with injuries. Diamont threw just 11 passes last game for the Hoosiers against Michigan State in a game they were hanging around in early, but ended up getting blown out.

Michigan's problems this season hasn't been on defense, either. Head coach Brady Hoke still has a job and defensive coordinator Greg Mattison will have his team ready to go again as Michigan essentially needs to win out in order to play in a bowl game this post season. The most winnable game left on the schedule is this one against a reeling Indiana team. Michigan's defense has allowed just 23 points per game to opponents this season, which ranks 45th best in the country.

Gardner should be able to move the football down the field against Indiana, but turnovers could hurt them. The Wolverines are just awful in the turnover department this season, sitting at -14 for the season.

The Hoosiers give up 35 points per game, which ranks 107th in the country. In this battle of uninspiring teams that have underachieved all season, the Michigan defense will make the difference.
