The top-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs hit the road in SEC college football action on Saturday when they travel to take on the Kentucky Wildcats. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have Mississippi State favored on the road to get the win.
Mississippi State has soared in the rankings to the top of the country and will take on a Kentucky team that is a lot better than they've been in the past. The Wildcats have already won five games this season but in order to get the six wins necessary for a bowl bid they'll have to pick up a victory against one of the remaining tough teams. It's probably not going to happen this weekend against the Bulldogs, who don't seem to be scared of being the top-ranked team in the country.
Kentucky is giving up just 22 points per game this season, Mississippi State is piling up 42 points per game. And the Bulldogs have already survived the toughest part of their schedule, winning at LSU before beating Texas A&M and Auburn in three straight games. Sure, they will still play at Alabama and at Ole Miss, but a layup over Vanderbilt inbetween those games will make it easier.
Speaking of scheduling, Kentucky will have played five straight weeks once they take the field on Saturday. Mississippi State is one of the most physical teams in the country and Kentucky is going to have a problem slowing down the Bulldogs, who have won five straight games over the Wildcats.
Heisman candidate Dak Prescott has already gone over 2,000 yards from scrimmage with 22 touchdowns. He'll lead the Bulldogs to big win here on the road as Mississippi State continues to prove they are one of the best teams in the country.
