College Football Betting Odds West Virginia Mountaineers vs Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma State Notified of NCAA Violations: Latest Details, Reaction, Analysis

The West Virginia Mountaineers have crept into the national rankings and will hit the road to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys in college football action on Saturday. Currently the College Football Odds for the game have the Cowboys favored by a small margin in this one.

West Virginia has found their way into the rankings and are one of the teams flying under the radar. The Mountaineers played both Alabama and Oklahoma tough, but lost in both games to team at the time ranked inside the Top Five nationally. Outside of that the Mountaineers have been very good, winning five games against good competition but now the schedule starts to get a bit tough. Four straight contests against Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas and Kansas State will determine where the Mountaineers finish this season. They're favored here over the Cowboys and would become eligible for a bowl game with a victory in this one.

Clint Trickett loves tossing the ball around and being in Dana Holgoren's system allows him to do that. The Florida State transfer has already surpassed the 2,500 yard mark and has 15 touchdowns, the most to Kevin White, who has caught 69 passes already this season and might be the best receiver in the country. Trickett has thrown eight straight games of at least 300 yards and could do that again this week.

Oklahoma State is on homecoming, a game they've won in six of the last seven years. The Cowboys were rolling along nicely going into last week's game against TCU before being derailed by the Horned Frogs.

The Cowboys have some revenge in this one against West Virginia as well. Last year Oklahoma State was ranked 11th nationally and lost to West Virginia 30-21 in what was the third of the Mountaineers' four wins. The Pokes want to get back at West Virginia for that, but they're going to have to get a big game from Daxx Garman. He's been inconsistent this season and hasn't really played great in a couple of weeks. He has to be better for the Pokes to win.

This one will be close, as the line suggests, but the Pokes are the right side. They have a revenge angle, need to turn it around and West Virginia is playing on the road. Look for OK State to have a solid win.
