College Football Tennessee Volunteers at Ole Miss Rebels Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Ole Miss Football: Will Rebels Record 1st 10-Win Season in over a Decade?

The third-ranked Ole Miss Rebels welcome in the Tennessee Volunteers in SEC college football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the odds for the game have Ole Miss favored by better than two touchdowns in this one.

How many thought Mississippi and Mississippi State would be ranked in the top three nationally? Believe it as the state of Mississippi has dominated the college football landscape to this point in this season.

Ole Miss is going to cause a lot of problems for Tennessee here tonight. The Rebels sport one of the best defenses in college football, even holding Texas A&M to only 20 points last week. Opponents have scored an average of only 11.8 points against the Rebels this season, good for second best in the country. Nobody has scored three touchdowns against them yet this season, which doesn't bode well for the Volunteers tonight.

Bo Wallace has grown up this season. He already has 1,700 yards passing and 15 scores, but in the last five games only has three interceptions total after tossing three in the season opener against Boise State. Make no mistake, when Wallace is playing at a high level the Rebels are going to be extremely tough to beat.

Like many schools this Saturday, Ole Miss is celebrating Homecoming. It's arguably the most exciting trek home for many of the Ole Miss faithful in some time, with the Volunteers coming to town hoping to spoil the show.

Tennessee has had a lot to feel upset about this year. They're 3-3 but haven't beaten anybody of substance this season, owning wins over Utah State, Arkansas State and Chattanooga last week. Their three losses came at the hands of Oklahoma, Georgia and Florida. While they played well enough to beat both the Bulldogs and Gators, it's still a loss.

Defensively the Volunteers have pieced together a decent season to this point. They're allowing opponents to score under 20 points (19.2) per game this year and that defense is going to have to play another solid game.

Worst part for Tennessee is they have Alabama and South Carolina the next two weeks as well. A loss here would put them at 0-3 in the SEC with no positives in sight.
